This afternoon I went to a field that I have had permission to look for 3 years but it has never been turned until recently. The land owner told me that the person who is renting it from him is going to plant peanuts. It is across the road from a field that has good artifacts. I was pretty excited. This is the only piece of chert I found in the field.

We call those single points in a field droppers. Some times they are the best points you will find all day.

Here are additional pictures. I'm sorry my pictures are not very good. The point is heavily beveled. It is an awesome point.

That is a seriously high quality piece, congrats on the find.

With that amount of beveling, some one must have used that one a lot.
