Every year we go thru this crap! Someone not believing the finds. Let them brag even if it ain't so, it's their consious they have to sleep with, not yours.

very nice finds anyway you get em!! ;D

I think Blue will back me up on this, but when you find pennies in most of the Washington State West side soils they are not corroded much at all.. I have pulled IH 's from the late 1800's from the ground that you could wipe off and use if you wanted to. :)

But, why whack someone for posting a find.. doesn't have to be dug.

great find on the 3 cent piece and the button ! beautifull, i know that around here there is soil that not many coins will take any time in , and then there is soil that a coin still looks great after being pulled out of the ground, i found a 1908 barber that has some spots on it , and ten feet away i have found an older zinc penny thats not to bad a shape. some soils will keep a coin better then other types of soil, just a view from my part of the country ;)

At least state if you dug it or not....we hate phonies on this site. Good find!

Great coin!! As far as the button, I found one like that - I kinda thought it was from a pair of jeans (remember "Toughskins" sold by Sears???). HH!!!!

Damn Right. In 772 posts, I have never been a nay-sayer. And I don't appreciate the name-calling. Who cares if people make spurious posts? Well...I do, for one. And a lot of other people. And the moderators. If it "doesn't matter," then why do members risk being banned for fake posts?

Excellent find inside the old farm house. Thank you for explaining. When I see a one-sentence "story" and a photo of a coin that wasn't dug, I start to wonder.

Hey,

Whoa, i'm not getting into this little spat. However you got that coin, it looks awesome! Sorry i cant help you with the button, but, considering the variety of people on this site, there's bound to be a button expert here. Good luck!
Keep up the sweet work!

Buckleboy I don't know you but I have read and commentated about your finds and your posts. Which are usually interesting and well posted. If you look closely I said Nay Sayer(s), I knew we had moderators here, and we need them but lately it seems there is a lot of crap going down in this forum regarding finds as being legitimate or made up. In the end after Randall explained, it was all good The defense can rest. I for one do not slur, slander, or call anyone names, If i offended
you I apologize, I'm just an old th'er doing what I love, I am at harmony with myself, and before I let anything or anyone take that from me I will leave this forum forever.
Best of Hunting and good luck

No offense taken. Good luck and happy hunting.
