No, it wasn't because of the finds today.

Didn't really find a whole lot.

It was because, for the first time in a long time,
I got to relive the feelings I had back when
my partner was still around.

I met up with McCdig today and we did a farm field area.
(and no, Treblehunter, he did NOT have to pick me
up after any stumbles all day!)

I gotta say, he was simply a blessing
for me. A kinder gentleman I've never met.

We hunted a long time! But, it was so much fun for me
that I don't recall just how many hours we put in! LOL

Anyway, Mr McCdig had the star find of the day, I'll let him tell you.

I really do not expect much from relic hunts and this one was no exception.
Fun and interesting finds though:

Like I've said before, I could be dropped in the middle of a
desert and I would STILL find a couple clad coins! LOL

I'd hoped the handle was to a treasure box but, oh well. :dontknow:

This button does have a bit of a back mark left.
The best I can make out is "Warrant..." and "Orange" :dontknow:
Not sure what era that is exactly.

I found the white flower but I think that
Fishy prefers the orange one that Uncle McCdig found for him. ;)

Oh! Yeah! The silver Rosie ('54) that Blingster is admiring and
the rather old style handle? Both were found OTWBTTC!!!! LOL!

My thanks to Uncle McCdig for a WONDERFUL hunt today!
It really did me good! (now....I am POOPED!! :( )

Thanks for taking the time to peek!

Isn't one of the major reasons to go out detecting is to just enjoy yourself?

Can't want much more than good times, good finds, and a good friend to hunt with.

A day well spent.......or, rather, invested........congrats, WHADIFIND!!

Nice hunt Bud. This is a great hobby to share with others. Finds are a bonus.

Whadi, to me Relics are just as good to find as coins. Besides that it sounds like you were in some nice company on that hunt.

It doesn't get much better. Enjoying time shared with a friend doing something you love to do

Well done Whadi,,
You invested time traveling to meet and share a hunt.
You smiled all the way home. Good for you and Mac.
Congratulations

Your post says it all! Congratualtions on the friendship, time detecting and finds! :occasion14:

Your title for this post is stellar. Keep up the very fine work!

Metal Detecting always makes me happy but some days out can be happier than others - So glad you had one of your most enjoyable ones!

Well now, I would like those finds. Any hunt giving up a flat button, silver and a roundball is a good hunt in my book. Congrats on the outing with another member too!

Out of the past! A voice is heard! WOW! Howyado stranger! :)

Oh MY! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE relics as well! Even bottle digging is fascinating to me! It's just that, given my druthers, coins are what I love best. They're why I got in this hobby to begin with, I have a warm spot in my heart for them. That's all.

I would STILL love to find an old ring that says, "TO MARTHA FROM GEORGE 1776" LOL
