one strange wheatie

my detector took me along the canal today!found A few smalll relics the round silver looking thing is a conch off of a horses bridal I think.The other thing is a clip off of a pair of suspenders,it says crown make pat.1899.and this strange looking wheat penny.I think someone might have put it on A railroad track but I'm not sure.found A 1917 S mercury and 58 cents in clad.Not A big day but I enjoyed just gettin out!!!!!!

Looks like a big day to me! I found a flat cent awhile back that was nearly 3 in. and split at one end, it had been ran over so many times. WTG!! HH

I can remember flattening A penny once or twice when I was A kid myself finding it brought back some memories!thanks everyone for the reply's!
