I have no doubt that the rock is pre-1600. Most rocks are way older than that. Here is a picture of a very early-stage preform effigy that I found. I can’t even see signs that it was even worked on yet. You can’t get much more preform than that!

I’d be willing to trade for the mammoth effigy, even up. 😆
