found at same beach as Whydah's "find of his life"
925 - looks like it was made by a local artistian
this town has all kinds of artists - glassblowers- painters- jewelers
so would not be surprised if it was made and bought in town
this was not a Cape Cod bch either as some may think
not even a Ma. bch
I had recommended we hit here a few weeks ago
then changed our minds because we were pulling in the gold at a few other spots
the tides were not that great for where we were hitting so I
called Whydah and told him - now is the time to hit this spot together
I told him "we're not going to get old gold here ...we're going to hope for fresh drops"
we would have to hope no one has hit here recently or missed some stuff if they had
the coins we found were fresh drops and so were the rings
had we hit there before Sunday - Whydah would never have gotten that ring
had we waited another week - Whydah would not have gotten it either - this spot gets hit by at least 10 other guys
Luck & timing did it for him this time
And if he had not had hooked up with me - I don't think he would have ever hit here in the water
Soooo... he's lucky he met me
and I suggested hitting here
He has said to me a few occasions where i did good with the gold
"If i couldnt get it ...Im glad a partner & friend of mine did" -
Right back at ya!
