Opinions requested: Fisher F2 vs. Bounty Hunter Legacy 3500 vs Bounty Hunter Platinum

Good Afternoon!

I'm looking to get a first metal detector. I've had three different suggested to me:

• Fisher F2
• Bounty Hunter Legacy 3500
• Bounty Hunter Platinum

Just curious on the opinions of any of you that may have used these? They are all in my price range. I'm a strict novice here.

I'm also open to other suggestions.

Among those three, BH Platinum. However the best beginner machines we've got these days in that same price range, are the new BH lineup (see the BH forum) and the Teknetics Eurotek Pro (see Teknetics forum). These newer models are major revisions of the Platinum platform.
