It is not listed in the 1990 SC Tokens book, so I just e-mailed the author to see what he knows about it. I'd encourage you to post good closeup pics of both sides to tokencatalog.com

Pascal you Rascal neat token, but I couldn't tell you a dang thing about it,vanzutphen

Don't know anything about it, but it looks like a great token.

Pascal--I got an e-mail back from the guy who is the SC token catalog author. He says he had seen one of these before but, "Technically I don't believe it is a good for token, so that is why I will not be listing it in the second edition of the South Carolina book I have been working on. I do appreciate you notifying me of it, though."

That makes me wonder - what is on the reverse side? Can you post pics of that? And, for the record, I'd encourage you to post it on tokencatalog.com - or I can do it with your permission.

John
