Given these 2 arrowheads this AM. Found in a thiftshop. Trying to find out a little more about them.

Nice pieces! Last week i went hunting up in north east corner of california. Right on the boarder of south east oregon. My dad found one exactly like the one on the left, maybe a little bit smaller. but same exact design with the base etc etc. I'm very novice. It was my first hunt. But since i'm up in this area with ya i'd try to help. I'm not sure who made it though? modoc? klamath? an older tribe? ...

The point on the left looks like a Northern Side Notched maybe both of them ?

Cool. Are those basalt or patinated obsidian?

Sweet find and done in climate controlled comfort...

I don't think obsidian, but points are encrusted with dirt. I thought they were flint. Wondering if I should clean?

To all:
I think these may be at-atl points. They seem longer than an arrowhead needs to be, but much shorter than a regular spear point.

northern side notch is a good a call as any...that is a pretty general term, take a look see here, it may be helpful for you.

Northern Projectile Point

Id wash them in tap water with a lite brushing to clean the dirt off a bit. They look nice from where I am sitting.
