It's a real long shot, but I wonder if any forum member/diver worked with Vern Johnson of Coos Bay, Oregon around 1984.

Sorry...when we were in Coos Bay was a long time before that and I was a lil tyke and dad and mom were diving.....you might check with Wicked Wanda....she moved from that area about a year ago and knows a lot of folks there that might have known him if she didn't. Good luck!

Go to Buddies list and type in Wicked Wanda at the bottom in the "add" and it should bring her onto your buddies list then you can message her from your buddies list anytime you want. I was over there this evening to pick something up and talked to her but forgot to ask her about this.....sorry!
