ORNATE POCKET WATCH COVER FOUND

I went for a short hunt yesterday after work and dug this watch cover. At first I thought it was a can lid, it was about 7 inches deep. When I got home and started cleaning it the detale started showing along with the gold plate. The inside says 14k guarenteed 20 year. I think that guarentee is past due. Even tho you only got part of a watch, still it is one I would have enjoyed finding greatly! Congrats on saving a little bit of history that is a neat find!

Very nice find. You are lucky that there is some writing on the back side as well. It tells you much more about the watch than just guessing it was gold plated.
