Nice picture, I guess you should be glad that the Osprey does not decide to drop the fish remains on your roof and a few days later you would be wondering, "where's that smell coming from?" :)

Don

Don has a point sis! ;) Great pic though! Thanks for sharing!

And for desert, the Osprey calls: "Here Kitty-Kitty"

Hey! Bad enough they caught the poor kitty in the have a heart trap last week. At least he had a tuna sandwich.

Great pic, I have only seen one Osprey in my part
of the country,

Fossis....................

CG: Maybe if you leave a goldfish or two on a branch nearby he/she'll visit you everyday!

Nice pic!

Hey Wes, I think he/she preffers much bigger fish ;). I'll ask again what kind of fish it WAS.

Maybe your cat has an "arrangement" with the Osprey for the left-overs; ::)
Neat photo!

Funny if you knew the cat, that wouldn't be far from the truth. He hates people (except for me), loves other animals. Shares his food with the possum, hangs with the wood chuck, why not an osprey?

Hey CG,

Thanks for sharing. Have only seen one or two of these in my life.

We do have the Bald Eagles tho, Nesting on the lower end of the property. The fish and game folks will cruise up and down the river to keep the "looky Lous" away so they eren't disturbed this time of year.

They aren't as kind to stray cats.
My Mom-in-law has raised several litters she thought were abandoned by the Momma only to see the Eagle eating the carcasse.

OD

We have a yearly Eagle nest right near our boat slip, it's fun to watch them soar and catch fish. There's a web cam at the nest, we can watch them hatch and grow. A lady on the hill keeps a good eye on them. The web cam got shut off pretty quickly when fluffy ended up in there. Here's the link.

Oh the web cam may have an issue right this minute (of course).

It's funny there are contests for whern they are going to hatch, talk of the town when they do. The lady that keeps an eye on the nest with her telescope, saw one of the chicks fall out of the nest into the water.......you got it sirens, flashing lights, they were there lickity split, got the baby out of the water and back into the nest. We love our Eagles!

No messin wit ya this time CG; sounds like you live in a really neat part of this country we call the U. S. of A.! :)
