Hello!

I dug this a couple days ago. Looks like the outer ring of a pocket watch. I'm thinking it is silver, but? . . . . I found these marking after cleaning it up a little. Looks like a Lion and a "G". I took a couple close-up pic's and it weights 12.1 grams.

Can anyone tell me what these images mean? How old it is?

THANKS!
Neil

Hard one, as although it has the British 'Lion' Mark & a date letter, it has no asseyer office stamp, ie. Birmingham etc

The best fit I can get with that Lion 'stamp' shape & an almost matching 'G' (but not perfect) - London 1942.

Nice bit of silver. I have yet to find a 100% whole pocket watch. Been on my list for a long time.

I've found several pieces of pocket watches and one near complete one, but never have found one that was silver or gold. I'd say that was a great find.
