Hi Merlin: Yea there are in Alaska, go to Alaska Mining and Diving site, clik on links under mining, recreational site there. Crow Creek mine, Chicken Mine in Chicken Ak. another up the Steese and the detectorist areas abound, some are pricey but worth it. GPAA claims there also, as far as B.C. have not traveled or looked into it, could be. Take care and see ya on the creek bank. Hardrock
