Pepper--Patriotic Civil War token
John in the Great 208

Congrats on the Civil War token. That's a nice little rescue. What did it ring up around on the AT VDI?

it showed up at 82 on the at/pro. it's the same size as a penny, and it's my understanding that it would have been considered currency until the government passed a law in 1864 stating that tokens were not to used as currency.

Very cool. I haven't found anything from the Civil War yet except a couple minnie balls. So what would the value of it be when it could have been used as currency?

1 cent

I love it when excellent finds like that jump under your coil.

Very good, I would be quite please with.

That token is awesome!
