Metal Detecting
My haul over two days at my mother's home (the house I grew up in), built 1917. I swept this yard 14 years ago with a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV and found nothing older than a 1938 USA wheat cent; decided to go back with the Minelab Equinox 600.

1917 and 1918 Canadian large cents, an 1892 USA Indian Head cent, and a 1929 Canadian "low 9" cent.

Wow, these are some beautiful old coins, they all look to be in pretty good shape considering how long they have been buried!

Nice coin finds!

NOW, if someone dropped these within the last 14 years and this can be proven you may stop reading at this point otherwise please proceed..LOL with this information you may want to contact Bounty Hunter and exclaim you have something on them that can make or break there sales..LOL ask for incentive or a free metal detector with improvements. LOL either way nice find

sounds like a song...hey it's good to be back home again. Nice finds

Now thats 4 cents worth having ! Nice job on the coppers. Good thing you rechecked the yard.

Very cool! I went to my childhood home last year to ask for permission, having visions of not only finding stuff from my childhood (I buried stuff all over the place when I was a kid), but also finding some old silver, since the home was built in the teens. I even brought my kids for the sympathy factor. I greeted the homeowner with the kids and told stories about the house and blah blah... Everything was going perfect and she was happy to meet us. When I asked if we could carefully detect her front yard for coins, I was utterly rejected. She didn't want "big ugly holes in her yard". It was a total crap weedy dead lawn and I would have left it better than it was. It was devastating to me. The one place I wanted to detect more than any other. At least you got to do it!
