keep the 1982 and before,it takes about a 1.69 worth to make a pound. last time i checked copper it was 3 and some change a pound.

I love pennies.

they are money.

I like money.

my change holder is cashed in every few months. those pennies add up into good money along with the other change.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to say I hate pennies. I like money

They DO add up, there was a time when I would pounce on any penny lying around. Now, I'm not so desparate, but I still make myself pick them up. I can't just walk by them. And now with the coinstar machine, it's fun to listen to them being cashed in
