some people, like me, just simply like finding newer bottles. My preference is finding anything from 1900-1960. I'll find them with my dad, and he remembers a lot of the bottles we find from his childhood. I know most of the bottles I find are pretty much worthless, but still that is my preference. I love figuring out what my bottles were used for. What may be junk for others is treasure for another.

hey i,m new to this site and new at collecting bottles, i didnt start out collecting bottles i,m more into metal detecting, but while detecting i find two sights so far where i have found about 2 dozen bottles, mainly from the twenties so to me its treasure, a different kind of treasure then what i was looking for but treasure all the same, so now i collect old bottles too, anyways their just cool, and worth something to somebody, if not i like them all the same, but being a newbie i guess we get a little excited about our finds.
