After years of searching I have found every clue and deciphered the horse/saint maps from start to finish to include the very illusive horse itself.
Why nobody has been able to locate it is that it's only visible for maybe 10 minutes if you're standing in the right place at the right time looking in the right direction at 1 specific rock where it's carved on. It's a shadow carving that when the sun reaches the right elevation during a specific time of year it will appear but only for about 10 minutes. In the same area is a rock that as the sun starts to set that you can see the "bust" of Miguel Peralta cut into it. The "1847" is on a hill top just about an 1/8th of a mile away.
