Peters ideal no. 12 shell

Hello everyone, I recently dug this Peters ideal no 12 shotgun shell in Maine. I would like to get a date as to when it was manufactured. Any ideas?

Well peters company was founded in 1887 and then they were bought out by Remington in 1934, but remington made peters shells until the 1960's. I don't know how old your specific shell is though. I am sure someone else will be able to give you a better answer.

Thanks for the reply. Tried to research it but wasn't able to pinpoint the date. I am trying to date the activity on my land.
