Found this at a cellar hole that dates between 1750-1870ish. Looks like a lady kneeling. Possibly in prayer. There are words around the border but can only make out a few letters. The reverse has a wreath and also some words but can only make out a letter or two. There is a quarter for size reference but it is 40mm. If anyone recognizes or can point to a site for some research it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can't seem to get good photos. Maybe these are better.

Neat find :icon_thumleft: I am guessing it might be a Sunday School medal / Reward of Merit but I can't find a match yet.

I think the legend on the obverse may be -

Then Samuel answered, Speak Lord for thy servant heareth

and the exergue a reference to that Bible passage in the First Book of Samuel.

Do you think that might fit?

* I just saw the post by bigfoot1 which is a possibility too
