Pewter plate

Found this pewter plate near Chain Bridge on the Potomac River. There are no marks on it except for the decorative engravings. It's about a foot in diameter. I think it might be from the early 1800's. The decoration looks Irish? to me but don't know. I has some weight to it.

That’s a beauty pewter plate. A friend of mine once said they’re rarely found because they were basically indestructible. A couple years ago I was lucky enough to find a partially melted one in Maine. One of my favorites. Funny though I don’t see any knife marks. In my opinion, with the hand etching it may be a bit earlier than your estimated age.

To those that know would understand why it’s worthy of a banner vote. The detail is wonderful and man those thing are rare! My vote is going in
