Found this yesterday. It is marked pewter has a 95 and angel or cupid touchmark. About 8 3/8' long, 3 3/4" wide 2 3/8" tall to the highest part of the handle.
So I did a little research, and sent an email to the pewter society, in Great Britain, [email protected], and they answered!
This is a very dainty handled shell dish for small sweets etc., standing on three small ball feet made on the Continent of Europe in the early twentieth century from the mark “95%” giving the percentage of tin in the alloy used. Angel touch marks were widely used by Continental pewterers but this cannot be identified from the information given sadly.
