Found this today in an abandoned house's yard. The house likely dates to the mid-20th century.
Research says it's sterling silver, and it's marked "Sterling" at the bottom of the reverse. From what I gather, Philco's business model was akin to Quixar and Amway, where regular people were recruited and trained as sales reps who had to meet a certain quota to maintain their franchises, and earned prizes when their quotas exceeded certain levels, such as keychains, pins, cuff links, and buttons. The higher the level of sales, the better the quality of the prize.
Found at about 4-5", rang as an 88-90 on the AT Pro.
