Smittyman and I invaded the North last week. Our campaign lasted for four and half days. It was not easy, but I was able to squeeze a dozen "keeper" coins out of the ground.

1859 Fat IHC. First year of the IHC.
1862 Fat IHC.
1895 IHC.
1909 Lincoln cent: First year of the Lincoln.
1911 Barber half.
1911 Barber quarter.
1943 War Nickel. OD's fav!
1936 Merc.
1942 Merc.
1864 Two cent.
1837 LC.
No date buffalo.

Our success was due in no small part to the hospitality extended to us by the locals. I met one of the nicest guys that you could hope to meet... that was the real treasure of the trip.

Enjoy the pics, thanks for looking, and best of luck on your hunts!

Wow,you had an Awesome hunt!! Congrats!!

I can't even find half the stuff you found and I live up this way. lol Love that 2 cent and the barber half, even your LC is in better shape then most my old coppers.
Pretty cool the barber half and quarter were both 1911's, were they found close to each other?

I'd say your hunt was a total success with the variety of different finds from old copper right up to the war nickel. Not to mention the Northern hospitality...

Thanks DL. The Barbers were from different sites. I had a really nice time, as stated earlier, the hospitality was the real treasure!

Tom, what a terrible day you had, no Trime, no colonials, no Reales, no US gold, not even a half- eagle, no gold ingots, no Trade dollars--- very sad. I have dug all your items --but not in a day. the 2cent will look amazing with a little baking soda scrub. your tip on how to run the ATPRO in pro-zero mode seems to work well. THANK YOU. my best to the King- Smittyman, a true southern gentleman.

Looks like your nice pile of coins made the trip well worth the effort Tom. I think my favorite is that huge honker of a half dollar. Glad you guys had a good time.

Tom you invaded the north and took some serious loot!!!

That half is excellent. The quarter is excellent. The LC sucks.

Just kidding. Every one of those finds are killer. Next time you're up drag your butts over to NJ!

You scored!!!! That's why I love the parks up north!

That's not only a drink down here, it's what the waitress calls you in every restraint too.

Smittyman and I had a really nice time, despite all of the root beer drinkers! Thanks so much for the help and hospitality!
