picked up the coin counter halves bag today

So I found a bank with a coin counter near me and after $100 it filled up. I asked the teller how long it's been since it was replaced and she said a very, very long time so I offered to buy it. Later during the conversation she said she didn't usually replace the bag and didn't really know how it worked, so I think she was just making a guess.

Anyway, I found 1x 40%, a 2003 P and a 2007 D. Many of the coins were marked with a green marker so I'm guessing they were someone's dumps. They must've missed the 68 as it was so dirty I had to look three times to determine if it was clad or not.

It turns out there were only 999 halves in the bag, but the $6 in quarters and other assorted US change and two canadian coins made up for it

I also checked about $100 in loose halves from ~20 banks, but without luck.

Not too bad a couple of dollars extra and a 40% any ag is good

wow, 20 banks - that's about the most I've ever done on a busy day.

I'll probably be checking with at least 12-15 banks tomorrow. Thursday's have been rather lucky for me lately with loose and cwr halves and I already called one bank today to check for halves and one of my lucky tellers said she had $50 in halves for me so I hope my luck continues. I've scored the last 3 times I've gone to this bank. Last Thurs. I scored an entirue roll of '68D halves from this bank. I think I'm going to ask for any other cwr coins of other denominations that this half dollar customer might have brought in also. Maybe I can score some other keepers as well.
