Pics of the 1800 house I am hunting around.

Sorry about the quality of the pics... They are all cell phone pics.

I was told that this house was used as a hospital in the civil war and troops camped all over the place. I thought I had found a gold mine. I did get permission to hunt it but as it turned out it had not been used as a hospital and so far I have not found any definite signs of camp sites. It has over 30 acres to hunt and there's a ton of iron signals I have not dug up yet. The owner said the family that built the house owned slaves.

Looks like a great place to spend some hunting time. If they did, in fact, own slaves, I would think there might be some old foundations for the slave dwellings and they would be close by. I ignore iron targets out here in CA but, like you elude to, iron targets there could all be interesting finds. Keep us posted and good luck.

That does look like old bottles now that you mention it but it's light shining through the cracks between the boards on the porch. Sorry about the poor pics, I should take my good camera back there and get some better ones before the snakes get real active. I love to just stand there and look at that place. It's a piece of history that will probably be torn down in the near future. The lady that owns the property is 96 years old and bed ridden and her son in Florida is in charge of it. I would love to be able to go inside and take pics but all of the doors are boarded up. Have a great day
