So today, i decided to search some pennies. Bought 78 CWR. Also found my first proof cent (1997). Here are the totals:
Wheats: 1940, 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949D, 1955
King George VI: 1940(2), 1943, 1950
1950s: 1958, 1959(3)
111 pre 1971 pennies
1997 proof cent
1966 Panama Un Centenismo

Supisingly found more wheats, than king George VI cents :dontknow:

Enjoy pics!

Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

i have a couple of questions

why are you keeping the 1984 and 1979 and the 2006 one cent coins?
besides the wheat cent ender why did you photograph the other two rolls?

Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

Reason for keeping the 1979, 2006 and 1984 is to fill the coin folder for each date and mint mark.
I photographed the other two, just to show how common US cents are in Canada. I started to treat US cents as all other Canadian cents about a year ago, when opened a box and decided to put all the US cents I could find. Out of 2500 coins in a box, 388 were American cents, so from that point I throw Zn one's back with the Canadian pennies and keep pre 82.

Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

Just curious, in Canada do people spent U.S. coins pretty much the same as Canadian? Like they accept U.S. coins for payment?

Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

Yes and no. Cents, nickels, dimes and quarters are generally accepted, even in banks :) Don't think that will work with Kennedy halves, presidential dollars or Large dollars.

Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

nice pictures and batch!

That 1955 wheat is in great shape, I average 1 RED or R/B(Reddish brown) wheat every 3-4 boxes... I think you did quite well. I average 10-15 canadian pennies per box of cents, never had more than 20 per box. I keep ALL canadian coins I find in circulation as well as any other foreign coins. :)

Nice finds there friend! I love seeing wheat enders - shouldn't we just call them husks? :laughing7:

Wheat enders always set a good mood for hunting the rest of box. Also husks promise that there are probably more of them in that roll
