I was hunting around an old Louisiana plantation last Sunday and found this lead piece. I noticed a photo of a dug crucifix in a relic magazine and I thought..you know, I possibly found the top piece of a crucifix. It is broken at the junction of the cross beam. It's made of lead, maybe carved?? The hole at the top was definitely intended for suspension. Any help or comments appreciated.

Definitely a possibility, but I've never seen a lead crucifix..:dontknow:

It wouldn't be lead, maybe potmetal?

Could it be something as mundane as a fishing sinker?

It really has an indentation in it's middle denoting something was attached that wouldn't create a crucifix shape.
