Found in woods on both colonial and civil war site. There is a hole on each side. Thanks in advance.
Attached is an actual photo from a piece removed from the roof of a coach house. These ran from the roof spike to the ground connector in several places on the building. I’d guess around 1910 in Iowa.Not all lightning rod conductors were wire. Some looked very much like twisted metal. Solid, not stranded, with a twist design.
