Pine grove/Clinton ca area

Anybody know of an open public area I can dip a pan with my young kids around here where I may have a good chance of them finding a lil color? They are young (2 and 6) so they loose interest quickly, and I'm hoping to teach them the ways of gold early in hopes that they will grow into adults knowing the truth about gold mining and do not get influenced by the radical tree huggin, don't disturb a speck of dust, environmentalists that seem to have over run us. Thanks in advance!!

I'm actually very close to roaring camp. So I know there's gold here. Just need to find an area open to the public.

Just take hem on a day trip to roaring camp is your best bet. Not sure about a public area, but do a little homework on the area by the bridge to Moke Hill.
