Pinpointing the 12 x 10 widescan coil

It's takes some time to get used too. What you have to do is find the object with the front of the coil, turn 90 degrees, then find the target with the head of the coil again. Do this until it sounds like the target is under the tip of the coil. I have a lot of problems with shotgun brass for some reason. It will sound like it is centered, but after I dig the hole, it will sound just a couple inches where I did not dig. It takes a lot of practice and you will never dig a perfect dinky hole like you can with the concentric. This is one reason I won't use this coil in nicely manicured areas.

The only draw back is if you run into trash under the coil when you turn. With practice you don't even need to turn 90 degrees.
