All Treasure Hunting
Well im sure this topic has been covered many times and can be old but its important to some so here I go I will give places to search please forgive me if I forget some you can add yourself on this post to help ok. Lets see, parks are good, around trees, old farm areas, beaches, old country roads of travel, of course your own yard, where people gather for family reunions, ball parks in town, old homestead areas with approval always. go to dam or river places. Please remember if you don't have patience maybe md isn't your thing its a must I say this for example a day could be compared to going fishing and not catching anything so you get the point. But to be honest regardless where you go and the time spent searching your almost guaranteed to find something its just what the significance of the item keeper or scrap junk excuse my spelling. So a hobby that can be rewarding in learning about history, the land and what I find when your out in the open land or territory you have a different respect for things when you imagine and step back and say wow what was going on 100 years or so ago. Its really a step back in time for me and I don't mind sharing no matter how weird it sounds to some. So please be open minded it however does pay to go slower and operate your detector accordingly don't swing it like your weed wacking, let everyone go fast and furious guess what they probably just missed something, take your time enjoy this great hobby, and hopefully your will always have that excitement of the find on your mind like a little kid, its a hobby for a lifetime I hope this helps all of you, good luck.

49er12, your thread is always useful. There's never enough places to detect.
Referring to Mr. Terry (Guru) Soloman's list, I prefer numbers 5 thru 8. They have produced well for me. GL
Peace

This might actually be worth a sticky.

I would add only that anyone who's stuck on where to detect in such areas at least attempt to put themselves in the mindset on where people in the past would gather, walk or stop in all those area's. I personally will probably say that in many ways many times but honestly a little imagination works wonders :)

Heck I get a thrill out of just imagining why an old wheaty is siting in a modern school yard at 8 inches... who was it and why... and is there something to be learned here...

Thanks great post.
