Moved into a new house recently, whilst sorting out the garage i found this rock neatly covered with a plastic bag. it is unusually heavy for its size. It is much bigger than most raw platinum finds I've seen on internet. It's dark gray, looks like there's glitter over i(very shiny under flash), I broke off a piece the inside looked more blackish in colour and I was able to crush the piece i broke almost into powder form using my hands. will highly appreciate any info on this beautiful rock.. I'm positive it's platinum. Anyone?

did I read you crushed platinum head ore with your hands into powder...dang.remind me to never shake your hand after your coffee.:laughing7:

the only way you can know what metal is in that sample is to have it assayed.but if you are "positive"than it must be platinum.so...what are you asking us for?

welcome to t-net and please post a copy of assay report, love to see it..
