Platinum ring lost in 8 feet. Atlantic

What would the sinking characteristics be? I realize it would go straight down. However, it has been one week. The sea state has been from glass to 3 foot rolling waves. How deep would the ring end up approximately? I have about 70 square meters to search.

That depends on the bottom conditions and any currants. I once found a ring inside a fish while cleaning it as they will hit anything Fluttering to the bottom.
