I guess this can go in Kruzer or Racer 2 forums, but I'm looking for the VDI of what a Platinum ring may come up as. I've seen videos that show it comes up near gold on other machines. I'm currently looking for a high valued Platinum ring with diamonds. I'm thinking it will come in around 25-40. I've seen a chart where Platinum comes in around 9-20 on the VDI scale of the Multi Kruzer, but that just seems a little off to me. I'm using the 14khz frequency for this. I've never found Platinum and maybe its because I've had my discrimination set to 20 instead of lower, then again, if its not there it wont be found. Any ideas? Thanks everyone.

Ah well i figured it wouldn't be easy. I did find a great VID video on YouTube from Metal detecting NYC that shows what i can expect. He uses a Simplex, but its pretty much the same.

The three-gram platinum ring I just found came in at 20, on the Simplex. Like gold, size matters. Best of luck!:skullflag:

Thanks Terry, I'm going to have to lower my discrimination for this one. its a small yard and I'll have the whole day on Thursday to find it. I'll keep you posted on if I find it or not.

Don't know if this helps you but....Two weeks ago this 925 ring rang up as a 69 (in all metal mode).A foot down in sand. And it screamed in such a high pitch almost had to take the headphones off.....
