When I was a yound guy I don't remember seeing this play dime around. Did it come in a game, can anyone date it?

This is a c. 1950's play coin made in Japan for the U.S. market, and imitating the style of the Tracies Company play money which was very popular at that time. It is listed in Play Money of American Children by Richard F. Clothier.

Thanks for help mrs.oroblanco. It looks like my play coin could be in that picture you posted, but PBK just shot a hole in that with the information he posted.

PBK is the reason that I don't post my finds. I think that my treasures are worth millions and would rather keep the fantasy going and not have to deal with PBK's factual ID'ng and find out I'm broke.

I've never seen that "play dime" before, but it is a great and probably old find. I think the coin on the right is a 1942 Mercury dime ;D ;D ;D ;D
