We've all had those days where we dig wire, pull tabs, clad and some things we cant identify. Hoping for something better you find a first. I was in a field not far from home and I was finding those things that would find a new home in the nearest trash can when my MD beeps. I dug down 6-8 inches and got my pin pointer, probed the loose dirt and found a musket ball. Its my first it was really cool. What's some of the coolest firsts you have found?

Every first for me is cool. But my very first find of any significants was a fired 3 ringer. I know that doesn't sound like much and I have found a lot of better things since. But that done it for me. Been hook every since. That bullet has a home!! HH

My first silver coin was a Barber dime. I was so sure that there were going to be Barbers everywhere... since then (4.5.14), I have found 77 silver coins, but no other Barbers have shown up!

I just found out today, that I'm missing a Barber dime from my US coin Type collection. Of all the things... I've got full sets back to capped bust on everything... and while looking through dimes today, I found I went from Mercury to Seated liberty. I just laughed and started a watch list on Ebay...

Long story short... I ALSO don't expect to find Barber Dime.

That was a long story to get to that punchline, huh?
