Its like a Louisana confederate infantry button,but I can't find the same exact one in Albert's book.What state was it found in?

The Button was dug in New York State. The back says Brooks Brothers.

Kinda looks like the G in mine as well. But it is a C. 32 to you too.

Jessie, It is identified in Alphaeus H. Albert's, Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons as a button of Columbian Institute. No further information is provided. By backmark, the button is from the late 1800's and definitely post dates the American Civil War. It is interesting, but not valuable.
