Please help me identify the type of mineral in these rocks!

Hi,

This is my first time posting. I'm new to prospecting. I was searching for a silver vein when I came across these rocks that contain minerals. It was my first time using a metal detector(whites dfx). The rocks were located near a small creek in a mineral rich area. The area is known to hold silver, gold, iron and copper. It was very difficult for me to decipher what the metal detector was trying to tell me was in the rocks. I broke the smaller of the rocks apart, it was giving me a different hit on the metal detector than the other rocks were. The smaller rock appears to have a bunch of quartz and a light green oxidation inside it. I have no idea what I'm looking at. I am fairly certain that they are not "Hot Rocks". Any info is appreciated. Thanks!!!

I swear that first one looks like coral or reef rock.

It was found a very long ways from any ocean. Lake superior wasn't far though. I think they are "Gabbro" after a lot of research... Still not sure.

That whole area used to be under shallow ocean and in the vicinity of the equator when those sedimentary rocks were made.

Looks like a hint of copper some iron ...and the green is a fungus that grows on the rock..db
