Metal Detecting
Glass, or slag of some sort.
I'm no expert but I agree it looks like slag to me. I once found a bunch of that stuff in a creek and got all excited. Turns out there was an old iron furnace further up the creek and I had found colorful slag. Too bad that stuff is just a by-product instead of a valuable gem! Then again I could be wrong on this one...
