Hi everybody,

We were digging in the garden yesterday here in Surrey, England and found a small gold wedding ring. Doing some research i think the maker is William Wilkinson Limited and it is 22ct gold made in London, but i'm unsure of the date. If anybody could help me i would be most grateful.

Thankyou! FB_IMG_1555840993621.jpg20190421_105953.jpg20190421_105906.jpg20190421_105807.jpg

Nice find! I spent a few minutes looking on google and came up with William Wilkinson Limited. Registered in 1914. Shows them in business until 1936. Also mentions Birmingham. I couldn't tell you what the marks mean, but I'm sure an expert will chime in soon. Congrats!

Thanks for the replies! Would love to put a date on it but the O stamp (which i'm guessing is the year it was made?) doesn't seem to match any that i can find. London 1949 looks similar but if they went out of business in 1936 then it can't be. I'm sure i'm well off the mark anyway!

Nice find, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

1929 I think.

Wow nice find I guess I need to do more gardening.
