That's the reason I think it isn't official Disney. They changed enough stuff to get past the trademark. Everything is close, but different... There is no identifying markings... Anything legitimate would be proud and want people to know what it was... This just screams knock off Disney to me... Even looks like the Mayan pyramid that they have...

I'll add add a couple scenarios.

1. A foreign company took the Epcot logo and made some minor changes and flipped it,
2. A failed trial piece that Disney rejected.

I could spend a few days (literally) searching:

Disney Collectibles
STOLEN Disney logo
STOLEN Epcot logo
REDESIGNED Disney logo
REDESIGNED Epcot logo
FAILED Disney logo
FAILED Epcot logo
Mistakes in Disney logo

and dozens of variations following every link and still not find it.

On the other hand I can offer some insight which, if Dan wants to follow up, he can.

Personally, some of the items posted here, I would post on specialized forums. But here, I think the idea is to offer ideas that point a poster in a direction to continue their search.

The place would cease to exist if every time someone posted a rock (forgive me for this example), the reply was take it rockforumdotwhatever.
Got a coin? Try CoinsRUsdotnumismatics.
Civil war items? NorthvsSouthdotrelics.
Jamey's painting? (Gorgeous, by the way) littleknownartistdotwhodiedpoor.

And these are just examples of what the replies would be if we dismissed opinions. But it's fun to see what others think about these items. And the cool thing is no one has to be an expert to offer an opinion. My job description doesn't include convincing anyone what an object it.

All that said, there are millions of people who collect and follow Disney. It follows then there are dozens of places to talk about all things Disney including a forum dedicated to Disney Pins, calling itself a trading community.

But how rude would it be if the first post after Dan (who seems like a pretty nice person), replied, "We don't know. Take it to Disneydotwhoknowseverythingfo?"

I do appreciate all the insights! I have been looking at different companies. A knock-off Disney seems plausible to me since they usually plaster their name on everything official. However, the 15 seems to be more of an official anniversary gift. The globe looks more like an airline logo globe to me. I found these on ebay...h.webph2.webp

I bet this is from the same time period and possibly mfg! Did the eBay listing have any information as to year or manufacturers?

They were from to different sellers on Ebay selling used jewelry. Apparently every major company was giving this style out for employee milestones. I found many others. Some were quarter-sized.Most, but not all, had gems and a company name and labeled as "old style" or "vintage." Mine does not seem to have been as high quality as the rest.

I agree that this is a corporate giveaway. I think the Disney angle is the wrong avenue to pursue.

Identify the elements and you could likely identify the company. I do not think that is a pyramid in front of the globe, I think it is a stylized pine tree. I'm interested in what the diamond shapes beside the "tree" are. My only guess is semaphore flags but I doubt that is correct.

I have done a bunch of searches like "corporate logo globe pine stylized" without a match.

I work in Aviation, and I agree, it looks like an aviation logo. That and a couple bucks will get you a coffee. :tongue3:

Kevo, great eye! I do believe that is a pine tree. Completely throws knock off Disney out the window! I now think it might be campground/ automobile club related. Many auto / travel clubs promoted camping and often discounts at campgrounds where often as a benefit. The "ring" is a road. The two "diamonds" could be a status of membership. Possibly someone a member for 15 years is a double diamond member? Ideas, thoughts?

Eh, I usually go the simplest routes. Non sunt multiplicanda entia sine necessitate. I think it's a 15th anniversary key fob for a business. The rest of it is just their logo.

My only other thought: I think that palette shaped device behind the right side of the globe has a name. That may also help narrow it down.

I thought pine tree because it reminded me of a pine tree shilling:

I am not saying in any way that the object is tied to coins I just thought the stylized design of the branches looked similar.
