Since your warning about fakes in an auction and not promoting another website I will leave, other mods may not agree and that is their call...

so, maybe you can do everyone a favor and clue us Back in to which auction this is, and who some of these guys are papering them?

nevermind, I see it is a tp auction, he papered the nicest fake I own before I bought it. I killed it, Stacy Sievers (WhiteEagle auth) Killed it, and so did Tom Davis. nuff said.

Maybe with enough talk about those pieces, they will get pulled and either get properly and permanently marked or smashed.

Its in a putty auction but I am not the one with all the answers. Its more to make everyone aware of the Fakes being sold as real. I am not a Buyer or seller of artifacts, but merely an enthusiast. I am however one that will to expose fraud in our hobby when I have knowledge of it . I am also a AACA member and stand behind their code. We on all forums need to unite on a common interest of the betterment of our hobby. And thats just my opinion.

I have talked on this before if you buy a artifact it is a buyer beware market. Papers are a dime a dozen, but a 100 power scope will tell the truth, because no one will go the distance to remove tool marks that the 100 power can't see. The faker wants to make a $100 item and sell it for $1000. The artifacts that I got scammed with after I found out what had happened I used a 30 power loop and could see tool marks. I hate that people lose good money on fakes but it happens all the time

No problem thanks. If you buy educate yourself. People are ripped of every day by sellers with 100% ratings on e-bay go figure..

I think you are doing a good deed by publicizing this. Thank you. I guess getting burned is sadly part of buying and selling artifacts. Some may sell fakes and not even realize what they are. I feel bad for the innocent guys that catch the heat of another's injustice.
