Plenty hot

I’m sure 111 degrees doesn’t sound that hot to some people but I noticed something. I was walking across a parking lot in the sun and when I got to the shade I thought I would feel cooler temperature. No way! The shade felt just as hot as the sunshine.

Back in the mid-80's we took a trip to Cottonwood Cove on the
Colorado River...was too hot, so we loaded up and drove back
up to Searchlight, NV (little town back then) and it was 123F
in the shade.

Hottest place I ever been...

I like the story my old friend told his family hauled a travel trailer camper to LA probably over 1500 miles. They had no air/con and the mother refused to sleep there so they got a hotel.

I hate the heat and my biggest complaint is when it’s so hot the wind is hot.

They say 78 degrees and high humidity is the danger zone for seniors. For me, working in anything over 90 is miserable unless I’m drinking beer in the shade.

Back in summer of 74 buddy and I took a trip from Pendleton to Tucson. His car temp was running hi so we had to drive with the heater on and the windows down. Thought that was the hottest I had ever been until Aug 90 when I arrived in Bahrain for Desert Shield/Storm.
