✅ SOLVED Plumbing Fixture?

Another heavy metal item recovered along the shoreline where structures once stood (with supporting pier/wharf). I am hoping someone that is smarter than me can explain what is was used for. Some kind of scale (for flow?) appears on the outside: 3/4, ON, 30, 15, 10, MA, LL. There is a digit between the 15-10….a "8”? And lightly stamped letters on the back that I can not read.

Maybe it is a gauge for a water heater or a shower. For setting temperatures, etc?

I thought I’d ask around TN before I start scraping and sanding it….

My only observation would be that instead of “on” it would read “no” keeping with the orientation of the other digits and letters.

They’re called “malleable iron washers”. This company sells them in a variety of sizes, both uncoated and hot-dipped galvanized:

They’re used for timber constructions and have a large bearing surface designed to prevent bolt heads and nuts from pulling into the wood.

I’ve seen them on the sides of old buildings and some were 5 point Star shaped.
