Always checking my change for something interesting. That is truely a in ciruclation coin. Maybe 6 months ago, I found a 1919 wheatie. I go through tolls every day back and forth to work. Never seen a silver quarter. Then today, drive through at burger king, and get a 1942 S Silver War Nickel. Not bad for a in circulation find. Was wondering what were some of your best in circulation finds. (Not at the bank). I know the bank does circulate coins, I was curious about out of the bank finds.

A Taco Bell person handed me back some change. Got 2 wheats, one was a steel cent :). I wanted to ask the teller for some more change :D , but I didnt ::)

all i got from change so far is a 1944, 1950D, and 1955D cent. i got a pre 1960 a couple years ago. its kindof weird that i see more wheats than pre 1960 nickels. ???

I thought I hit one today coming out of the Burger King drive thru, fumbled it around, and got a look, but it was a 1965 Rosie, Doh!

They say there were a few '65 silver Rosies made- worth 6,000 if it is. Mark

:D Well, in that case, im going to go out to the car and look at it one more time! ;)

A 1908 Barber quarter. After that, a 1964 silver rosie.

A few months ago I got 2 silver rosies in change from a vending machine. Got them about a week apart. I've been working that machine pretty hard since then, but I've got nothing.....except a few extra pounds :-[

Here is the secret to VMCH (vending machine coin hunting) I think it will work with most modern machines.

1) Put in your coins or dollars.
2) Do not choose product.
3) Hit "coin return" or what ever the button that is labeled for refund.
4) Repeat till machine runs out of change coins.
5) Don't get caught. ;D

At a 7-11 one day buying a soda, I was getting .71 back in change, and both of the quarters were silver, a '64 and a '58.

At a different 7-11 months later I got a pocketful of change back from another soda purchase and spotted a 1902 Liberty Nickel in my hand.
