Point Type I.D.?

This point was part of a group I bought recently from Ky. It is one of many found by a farmer and his family over the span of 50+ years living on a farm near the Green river. The material is Sonora, has some nice archaic? flaking, thin with unfortunate base damage. I've looked through some books but haven't settled on anything particular. Any opinions or comments on type would be appreciated. HH

I'd call it a really well made Kirk. Here is a Kentucky example from the Central States Journal.

Yeah, that probably wasn't the best example to use... I was looking for an example of a Kirk and that was one I had saved.

I agree Stilwell. Kirks and stilwells are a lot alike. The flaking really shows on that one.

I would say Stilwell. The partial base has the same characteristics of a few Stilwells that I have found in Central Ky. Nice find!
