Thanks Adena_man. I love hunting Ft Ancient sites because for one you never know what you might find and for two you almost never leave empty handed. Here's another picture of a showcase of mine that is all from one Ft Ancient site you may have heard of, the Hardin Village Site. There's around 3,000 pieces in this case.

Can you show another picture of that super nice point and any brothers (sisters) it may have. Also what is it--the material and the point. That is really a very interesting point--I mean all of them are for sure, hands down--that one though got my eye

As for Adena_mans point, I'm not sure what the material is, but that particular type is called a Ft Ancient Knife.

Hey Stryker! That is a Ft. Ancient knife. It looks like it has been resharpened a few times. I'm not sure about the material type. That is the only one that I have found made from that material.

So it started as a knife and they kept repairing it and it ended up like that--very interesting.

Went out to some of the plowed fields around here along the willamette river.W alked a lot--found no items I can claim as knapped. Search goes on.
