What I see here, is TWO different "experiences"; SELF-DEFENSE (which I AGREE with), and "old-time, "WILD WEST", VIGILANTE "MOB ACTION" against "imaged threats" (Which I DO NOT AGREE with); it may well be that RURAL AREAS have WONDERFUL "Self-Defense" laws for such purposes. Law Enforcement "Response Times" varies, and ONLY a Judge can determine "appropriate actions"; all I CAN tell you, is that you DO NOT want to "do time" in a MAX Security Prison. THAT is why I cautioned "BAD/DIRTY COPS" in my PREVIOUS "post" in response to "Red's" earlier "post" about the "DIRTY Cops". Read & LEARN!

Florida has stand your ground/castle law. We are not required to retreat and we are allowed the use of lethal force to defend our famlies, our lives, our homes, our cars, any citizen that is threaten, we are not required to retreat from any location we are lawfully allowed to be.

I would rather be judged by 12 than see my wife buried or crippled.....

There are1.5 million Fl residents now legally allowed to carry concealed....

Ohio has the castle law but says we have a duty to retreat in other situations. I believe in stand your ground laws. I myself or my family do dot want to be a victim. I have young children in the house so unless I'm carrying on my person I have to keep my guns locked up. At nite my .45 is in the dresser by the head of my bed in top drawer so I can get to it if needed. I carry 90% of the time because I am realistic about the crime these days even in rual areas. Just last fall an elderly couple about a mile down the rd was broken into during the nite by heroin junkies from a city 20 miles away looking for stuff to steal so they could get their drug. They were run off by home owner with a gun. Caught later that nite in a car they had stolen from another house down the rd. this is why we have to protect our selves this stuff happens even in the middle of the country. They try to get in my house with my kids sleeping in their beds they won't walk out just the way it is. These people will do anything for that drug including kill.

Just last week there was a man executed in ohio and it made national news because it took over 20 mins for him to die. The constitution protects against cruel and unusual punishment but says nothing about a painless death. I say this murderer got what he deserved for what he did to that women and her unborn child. That is just my opinion though. I agree with bringing back hanging and electric chair. The death penalty is a deterrent and these people have done unspeakable crimes to get to where they are.
